BIO DONAES

When house and acid house made its entrance in the late 80’s in his native home of The Netherlands, DONAES was intrigued by this new wave of electronic music. He started looking for instruments to make a bridge between instrumental and electronic music. Art of Noise, Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre were some of the first artists that used keyboards and samples and inspired DONAES to further explore electronic music.
In 1991 inspired by the the drum parties on Benirras beach in Ibiza, DONAES focused on integrating live percussion with house music establishing an exciting international music career performing at major music festivals like Sensation, Mysteryland, Innercity, and the World Music Conferences in Miami.

In 2005 while living in Paris he was noticed by the A list luxury fashion scene for his exciting taste in music and natural talent as a DJ, DONAES and soon became a hot list DJ for international fashion party’s and shows.
In 2010 DONAES moved to Barcelona and became the weekly resident DJ at the club Shoko.
While DJing for many International club bookings in Thailand, Japan, and South America, Ibiza the mecca of dance music demanded a permanent home with weekly residencies in KM5 and PACHA.
His spiritual studies of over 30 years gave foundation for his mission to help humanity though his music and as an instructor of meditation and energy healing. An avid swimmer and yogi with charming charisma, wisdom and sensitivity, continually acting on his desire to help others also grow in their field of creativity, he established a thriving company 'Ibiza Spinners' a dedicated DJ and music talent booking agency.

With his evolving deep-rooted passion for creating happiness, DONAES now produces his own music, integrating his substantial experience and knowledge of piano, bass and percussion in electronic music.
The elegant global sound of DONAES is a blend of tribal Balearic beats, deep house and groovy tech house into melodic techno.
